Monthly Playlist – July 2016

So, I’ve not done one of these for a while.

I still love making playlists, and because of some long train journeys, I’ve had a little time this month to reconnect back with music, which is always nice. If I feel a bit off balance it’s probably because I’ve not had a long listening session in a while, so it’s nice to feel like myself again. One of the best things about going to Copenhagen was that I could sit on a coach/train/plane with my headphones on and a book. [I’m sociable most of the time, I swear.]

This playlist, like they all are, isn’t very connected as such, it’s just what’s sparked my ears off this month. ‘Place Your Hands’ played at a PRS visit I did and I’m not gonna lie I had a nice little 3 min rave at the back of the pub. Most of this playlist are recent releases – I didn’t like the Clean Bandit tune at first but it’s really grown on me and it’s now firmly a summer banger in my book. Same for ‘This Girl’ and ‘Tilted’, and Adele will always be my bae so, y’know. Hers and Coldplay’s sets at Glastonbury were off the chart, I’m so jealous I wasn’t there. It’s on my life-long bucket list.

I’m also really into Frances at the moment – I saw her on Sunday Brunch a few weeks ago and I’ve been playing ‘Say It Again’ on repeat ever since. I really like her other stuff too, so watch this space for Frances on future playlists. And ‘Pass The Dutchie’? Just a big tune, that needs no explanation, clearly!

Hope you enjoy! <3
